"In Port-au-Prince - still home to 800 tent cities that occupy virtually every public space - many of the earthquake victims are also asking how their government appears to have accomplished so little." Ingrid Arnesen, Wall Street Journal, 1/12/12
"Back to normal in Haiti. That's an interesting question." Matthew Moore, Compassion International, 1/12/12
yesterday was the second anniversary of the unimaginable earthquake in Haiti. so many lives changed forever. loved ones have been lost, homes destroyed, the little possessions that they had - gone! i can not fathom the loneliness, exhaustion, and weariness of having so little before and losing so much. there is no "normal" for the Haitian population. there is only the hope of some sense of order back into their individual lives.
please join me and pray for the Haitian people. prayer is the greatest gift! and only God truly knows what the Haitian people need. "Earth's troubles fade in the light of heaven's hope." ~ Billy Graham
"For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it." Romans 8:24-25
